Scope of works

As part of the London Bridge Station Redevelopment Programme, Kilnbridge were appointed to undertake the construction of the Bermondsey Street Car Park which was close to the operational railway line.

Kilnbridge provided temporary works design, structural assessments and monitoring of adjacent listed buildings whilst major works were carried out including sheet piling, deep excavation and installation of main sewer connections.

The structural steelwork package included the design, fabrication and installation of the new steel hub structure and platform canopies which provided an over-track link between the new platform, concourse and ticketing hall. The works also included the construction of a reinforced concrete underground attenuation tank including sheet piling and temporary propping, as well as the construction of the access road and car park to highway specifications.
