Scope of works

Kilnbridge were appointed to carry out the design, supply and installation of the passive fire protection works the Victoria Station Upgrade project.

Victoria Underground station handles more passengers than Heathrow Airport each year. The upgrade relieved congestion, improved access, and extended the station’s life by approximately 75 years. The project is located at the centre of one of London’s key transport hubs. Kilnbridge carried out the works whilst the station was fully operational.

Kilnbridge carried out the following works on the project:

  • Penetration Sealing Systems
  • Cavity Barrier Systems
  • Structural Steel Protection
  • Fire Rated Partitions
  • Intumescent Painting

Challenges / Achievements

  • All works completed sensitively within Grade II listed building
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to manage the works efficiently in an operational station
