Apprentice Day – September 2022

Our Apprenticeship Day was designed to fully integrate our apprentices, whereby they participated in a collaborative day which involved a number of varied activities. Our overarching aims were for the apprentices to:

• Gain both practical and theoretical understandings of the different services Kilnbridge offer.
• Have the opportunity to speak to Directors from Kilnbridge that had progressed from an apprentice level to a senior level and learn what’s required to make those career strides.
• Listen to words of the Founder & CEO of Kilnbridge and gain an insight into the Kilnbridge company journey and to also be provided with advice on their career journeys.
• Build relationships with other apprentices within the business.
• Participate in team building activities which showcase the different skillsets within our apprentice cohorts.
• Give the trade apprentices the opportunity to showcase their knowledge during the trade workshops.
• Find the day both enjoyable and engaging and for them to believe that Kilnbridge can meet their long-term ambitions.

The day commenced with a Q&A session, then moved onto a number of trade workshops to allow the apprentices exposure to all parts of Kilnbridge.

It was followed by a teambuilding activity:

• Building a Bike.
• Slow Bike Race.
• Navigating a bike whilst being blindfolded, which focuses on the team providing clear instructions and working together.
• Making a belt.
• Changing tyres.

The day was concluded whereby the bikes were presented to our charity partner CRASH – Construction Industry’s Charity
