Awards Season Update – One down, two to go…

Kilnbridge attended the Construction News Specialist Awards ceremony at the tail end of last month with high hopes of winning in one of the following categories: 

• Apprentice of the Year (Alex Cummings) 
• Training Excellence 
• Digital Construction Excellence (Jobflow App) 
• Project of the Year (>£5m) for Hinkley Point C Heads Construction at Avonmouth 
• Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover >£25m) 

Unfortunately, we were not successful this time, but the competition was strong, and entries were of a very high standard. Our name was mentioned and appeared several times on the screens throughout the 600 strong audience, and we can be very proud to have been shortlisted for all these awards. Huge thanks to all who gave their time and effort to achieve this success, with particular thanks to Sean King, Alex Cummings, Ben White, John Malone, Graeme Stewart and Dermot McDermott who represented us all at the judging interview events. 

Next, we go to the British Construction Industry (BCI) Awards, where we are one of the finalists in the Digital Initiative of the Year Award for our Jobflow App. Our fingers and toes will be crossed for a successful outcome and celebration on that occasion!
