Concrete Zero – Ben White

Kilnbridge are happy to announce we have become members of the Climate Group’s ConcreteZero scheme. This commitment will renew our focus on reducing embodied carbon within our concrete mixes and demonstrate along with our fellow members our clear leadership within our industry.

Concrete production contributes to 8% of global annual carbon emissions, with an area the size of Paris predicted to be built globally every week for the next forty years.  The concrete industry becoming net zero is vital to halving carbon emissions by 2030 and limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

We join other organisations such as Canary Wharf Group, Laing O’Rourke, Mace Group, Skanska UK,  amongst others who are preparing for the inevitable change and the transition to a zero-carbon world.
