World Mental Health Day – Teah Stapleton

11 October 2022

The theme of 2022’s World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is “Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority”.

Better Health-Every Mind Matters is a campaign and digital resource designed to empower people to look after their mental well-being and support others. It focuses on promoting mental well-being and addressing the four most commonly reported mental health concerns: anxiety, low mood, stress and trouble sleeping.

The Campaign offers a range of evidence-based self-care actions and free resources designed to help people care for their mental health. The NHS offer an NHS-approved Mind Plan where you answer five short questions, creating a personalised mental health action plan that provides tips to help deal with stress and anxiety, boost your mood, sleep better and feel more in control. A four-week email support programme is available to encourage people to look after their mental well-being as part of their everyday routine.

Better Health-Every Mind Matters is launching a new campaign that encourages and helps us to be kind to our minds. The small things we can do can make a big difference to our mental well-being. Making time for mental well-being and self-care is essential – embedding these small things in your routine can help you feel better and more in control.
