Wembley Bridges

Scope of works

Kilnbridge were appointed to manufacture and install two steel bridges (E05 and E03).

E05 bridge provides direct access between the E05 building and Wembley Stadium concourse level.

The scope of works for E05 bridge included:

• Design, manufacture, and installation of steel bridge superstructure
• Supply and installation of internal and external GRP cladding
• Supply and installation` of the bridge drainage/downpipe
• Manufacture and installation of bridge balustrades
• Manufacture and installation of access gates to both ends of the bridge
• Supply and installation of concrete floor planks and tarmac floor
• Manufacture and installation of ceiling cladding panels.

The scope of works for E03 bridge included:

• Design and manufacture of steel bridge structures and balustrade
• Supply and installation of anti-slip floor
• Design, manufacture and installation of access gate including cladding.

Challenges / Achievements

• Both bridges were installed whilst maintaining fully operational access to concourse level and Wembley stadium.
• Both bridges were installed on time prior to the UEFA European Football Championship finals
