Scope of works

The redevelopment of Whitechapel Station, which forms part of Crossrail, included major improvements at the station and other upgrades which will greatly benefit passengers and local residents. Kilnbridge were appointed to deliver multiple projects through their various businesses.

Kilnbridge were contracted to deliver the design, fabrication and installation of structural steel work. Examples of steelwork included, structural steel support frames, architectural cladding and cladding support system with integrated items such as Bostwick gates, bespoke cabinetry and manifestations, windows and louvres, including louvred doors and acoustic louvres, architectural metalwork and station furniture items, seam roofs, and associated fascia trims, back-of-house ladders and walkways.

Kilnbridge’s scope also included demolition of existing a number of station buildings, platform canopies and bridges.
Additionally, Kilnbridge carried out fire protection works to walls and barriers as well as installation of blast-resistant and structural glazing.
